OSPREY at Stewartby this evening
Evenin’ all – I was lucky enough to
find an Osprey at Stewartby Lake
this evening – I picked it out at 7.25pm at distance heading straight towards
the gull watchpoint coming from the direction of Kings Wood, so from the
south-east. It circled the lake and made to leave over the north (breakers yard)
corner but returned and circled again. I got some rubbish photos but some video
fit for the Christmas Movie and also managed to phone NW, PH and KO whilst still
watching it as they were likely to be closest. Both Neil and Pip got to
Stewartby only 3 or 4 minutes after it once again headed toward the north corner
at 7.37, this time not to return. It may have roosted locally, so eyes to the
skies tomorrow. MJP
